TOUR TO THE MIDDLELAND - SPITI VALLEY

As the name suggests, this is the middle land between India and Tibet, and that is where we going to take you to give a lifetime experience of motorcycling. One of those most adventurous and less explored place there in Himalayas is ‘Spiti Valley’. Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name “Spiti” means “The Middle Land”, i.e. the land between Tibet and India.

The valley and surrounding region is one of the least populated regions in India and is the gateway to the northernmost reaches of the nation. Along the northern route from Manali, Himachal Pradesh or Keylong via the Rohtang Pass or Kunzum Pass respectively, the valley lies in the North Eastern section of the Indian state Himachal Pradesh, and forms part of the Lahaul and Spiti district. We understand that most of you can’t get too many days break for our Chapter Spiti tour and that ‘s why we created a tour which can give you the same experience in less no. of days and create a memorable tour of your life.

TOUR ITINERARY

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Delhi

    On the very first day of your tour, and after your arrival at New Delhi Aiport. Himalaya Rides representative will come to greet you at IGI aiport and from there on your each and every transport transfers and hotel stays will be taken care of by Team Himalaya Rides. A private overnight stay.

  • Day 2

    Delhi to Kufri (2630m, 8 hours 350kms)

    The second day of our tour will be the actual start of our road trip and adventure, when we will be travelling from Delhi to the foothills of Himalayas leading to the beautiful destination for the day Kufri ahead of the infamous Shimla City. The travel time from Delhi to Shimla will depend on your previous day arrival time in India.

  • Day 3

    Kufri to Chitkul (3450m, 7-8 Hours, 230Kms)

    We will start the day early in the morning as we will head to a beautiful village near Indo-China Border i.e. Chitkul. The road conditions are very good and we will be riding on a National Highway to reach the destination along side the famous Sutlej Streams and some breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges.

  • Day 4

    Chitkul to Kalpa (2960m, 3 Hours, 70 Kms)

    The day where we’ll not be riding too many Kilometers but we will make sure to witness the beautiful sunrise in Chitkul Village and experience the culture of this Himalayan Village. Afterwards, we will be heading to Kalpa, which is a famous place to have a glimpse of the famous Kinner Kailash Range. Hot and Warm dinner will be served in hotel and then you can have a good sleep to start the tough day tomorrow.

  • Day 5

    Kalpa to Dhankar (3894m, 5 Hours, 175 Kms)

    We’ll be starting the day early in the morning, and will head to our first hault at Nako, riding through some of the most amazing hairpins and loops of Himalayas. “Nako” a beautiful small remote village in Himalayas where we will spend our time admiring the beautiful nako lake, and getting a view of the infamous ‘Reo Purgyil Peak’. Afterwards, we will head to Dhankar village the destination for the day, a small inhabited village and we will be served with a warm dinner with a view of very famous and Dhankar Gompa from the window.

  • Day 6

    Dhankar to Kaza (3800m, 2 Hours, 60 Kms)

    A small day ride till Kaza, we will take a day off visiting the kaza town, and experiencing the local culture and conducting a relaxed conversation and bonfire night at our hotels.

  • Day 7

    Kaza – Hikkim,Comic,Langza & Key Monastery – Kaza (4400m, 50 Kms total distance)

    After a relaxed night at Kaza, we will start the day with a good and healthy breakfast and head towards the less explore inhabited places to witness some breathtaking landscape views of the Langza Valley and Hikkim village and then going for some organic food for the day at Comic Village. We will then head towards Key Monastery which will be the last destination for the day before returning back to our hotels in Kaza.

  • Day 8

    Kaza to Chandartal Lake (4300m, 90Kms, 6-7 Hours)

    Long day of riding on this day, as we will be riding some of the most dangerous  routes to reach the destination. We will be crossing the Kunzum La to reach the destination for the day, and the road conditions will be challenging as well as the weather. Dinner will be served and your overnight stay in Tents.

  • Day 9

    Chandartaal to Manali (2050m, 120 Kms, 7-8 Hours)

    After riding through the beautiful Spiti Valley, we will be riding through the Lahaul District of Himachal Pradesh. From Aerid land of Spiti to Green Land in Lahaul the landscape will change as we move towards Manali. Road conditions are challenging again as we will be riding through giant rocks and will be crossing cold & chilling water crossings on the way. Gramphoo the destination from where we will turn towards Rohtang Pass(3978m), and then head downwards to Manali City, where our Hot and Warm Dinner will be waiting for us, and we will be relaxing at our hotels after a long day of riding.

  • Day 10

    Manali to Delhi (530 Kms, 12 Hours)

    A good farewell will be organized by Team Himalaya Rides and on this last day of your tour, where you’ll be travelling over night by Bus to Delhi city.Thereafter, After reaching to Delhi you’ll be transported to your hotels and then to the airport for your departures from our crew.
